World Business Briefing: Mexico: Arcelor Mittal To Buy Steel Plants


Arcelor Mittal, the worlds largest steel maker, agreed to buy two construction steel plants from Grupo Villacero of Mexico for $1.4 billion, giving it a foothold in the market for construction steel, like bars and wires used in buildings. The purchase is the companys first since Mittal Steels $38.3 billion merger with Arcelor this year.
