The United Nations Security Council voted to set up a mission to oversee a disarmament and cease-fire accord between the government and former Maoist rebels and plan elections of a constitutional assembly in June. The vote creates a force of military monitors, police and civil administration teams and poll watchers, which was requested by each sides and will last a year.
