Twenty female farmers were killed when the three-wheeled vehicle they were riding overturned on a mountainous road in Liaoning Province. State news media said they were returning from a day of picking herbs and were crowded onto a trailer towed behind the vehicle. Chinas roads are the most dangerous in the world, with 90,000 people losing their lives in accidents in the first quarter of 2007 alone, according to official estimates.
