Pakistan Court Acquits Zardari In Murder CaseFiled at 5:41 a.m. ET KARACHI, Pakistan (AP) A prosecutor says a Pakistani court has acquitted the widower of slain opposition leader Benazir Bhutto in the murder of a retired judge. Asif Ali Zardari took control of Bhuttos party after her December assassination. The party won last months elections and now dominates parliament. Zardari was charged in 2002 with playing a role in the murder of Nizam Din and his son. The men were shot to death in Karachi in 1996. Prosecutor Naimatullah Randhawa said Monday a court acquitted Zardari due to lack of evidence. Parliament was set to elect a longtime Bhutto aide as prime minister on Monday.
